Our story

Five apps, a notebook, and a toddler

A few years ago, we took our first child on a mini world trip. Several countries, a lot of logistics, and one very curious toddler.

Before we left, we went looking for an app that could handle all of it: a packing list that actually made sense for a baby, a way to keep track of how many diapers we had left, a journal for the trip, a map of where we'd been, somewhere safe for our documents, and room to plan as we went.

We never found it. Instead we were juggling five different apps and a dog-eared notebook, usually with one hand, while the other held a snack, a stroller, or a small person who'd had enough.

So we decided to build the app we wished we'd had.

Rukalya is that app: everything a family needs to plan, organize, and remember a trip, in one place. It's built by parents who have actually lived the beautiful chaos of traveling with kids.
